Emergency Care Training for Naval Personnel

The training program on “Basic Life Support, Basic Trauma Care & Common Emergencies,” jointly organized by Caritas Hospital and Institute of Health Sciences and the Naval Aircraft Yard, has been successfully completed. The course was organized to equip Naval Aircraft personnel with crucial practical knowledge regarding emergency life-saving care.

The event was inaugurated by Commodore Sudhir Reddy (Superintendent NAY (K)) in the presence of Rev. Fr. Saiju Puthenparambil, Assistant Director of Caritas Hospital. Captain Sachin Sivaraman (Deputy Superintendent) and Commander Laijing Louyang Maring (Chief Manager (Admin)) were also present at the occasion.

Following the inaugural ceremony, academic sessions were conducted on Basic Life Support, Basic Trauma Care, and Common Emergencies. The training classes were led by Dr. Vivek R (Head & Senior Consultant, Department of Emergency Medicine, Caritas), Dr. Aravind V, Dr. Sreejesh B, and Dr. Akash Aravind. They shared vital insights and practical guidelines on how to intervene effectively during critical situations.

A hands-on training session was organized in the afternoon, ensuring the participants received practical experience in managing real-world emergencies. The program concluded with a feedback session, certificate distribution, and a vote of thanks.
