The INSIGHTS 2026 Academic Conference, jointly organized by the Kottayam Chapter of the Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine (ISCCM) and Caritas Hospital, was successfully concluded. The event was held at the Diamond Jubilee Hall of Caritas Hospital. Dr. Jacob George Pulinilkunnathil, Senior Consultant in Critical Care and Chairman of the Organizing Committee, delivered the welcome address. This was followed by the inauguration of the conference by Rev. Fr. Joice Nandikunnel, Joint Director (Operations), Caritas Hospital.

Organized as part of the celebration of three years of excellence in the field of Critical Care, the conference primarily focused on the theme “Subarachnoid Hemorrhage: What We Know, What We Miss, and What We Get Wrong.” The conference featured academic presentations and discussions led by renowned experts in the field, focusing on treatment approaches in Neurocritical Care, recent advancements and discoveries, and the key challenges encountered in patient care.

Dr. Jojo K. John, Dr. Swapna Suresh, Dr. Ajay Prasad Hrishi, Dr. Philip Mathew, and Dr. Abdul Rahim Shaan led various academic sessions during the conference. In addition, an afternoon hands-on workshop was conducted with three dedicated stations: Transcranial Color-Coded Duplex Ultrasound (TCCD), Transcranial Doppler (TCD), and Bedside EEG (EEG Basics for ICU Clinicians). Experts including Dr. Jojo K. John, Dr. Ahmed Roshan, Dr. Jithumol Thankam Thomas, Dr. Sharath Surendran, and Dr. Swapna Suresh provided participants with practical training across these stations.
