As a step towards a greener future, a state-of-the-art Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Station has been inaugurated at Caritas Hospital. The station was officially inaugurated by His Grace Mar. Mathew Moolakkatt, Metropolitan Archbishop of Kottayam and Patron of the Caritas Hospital Trust, at 9:45 AM on February 24 at Caritas Gate 02.

The key technical features of the charging station include a 90kW DC Fast Dual Gun (CCS2), which enables vehicles to be charged within minutes for a quick continuation of travel, and a 3.3kW AC Slow Charger that ensures safe and precise charging.

The ceremony was held under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Binu Kunnath, Director and CEO of Caritas Hospital. Rev. Fr. Thomas Animoottil (Pro-Protosyncellus), Rev. Fr. Thomas Adopillil (Chancellor), Rev. Fr. Shani Valyaputhenpurackal, the Joint Directors of Caritas, and other distinguished dignitaries of the hospital were also present at the function.
