EMPAC Training Empowers Kerala Police with Life-Saving Emergency Skills

The “EMPAC” training program, jointly organized by the Caritas Emergency Department and the Kottayam Lions Club for Kerala Police personnel, was conducted at the Caritas Diamond Jubilee Hall.

The course was designed to provide practical knowledge to police officers in areas such as emergency life-saving procedures, medico-legal aspects, and mental health care.

The function began with a welcome address by Dr. Vivek R, Head of the Emergency Medicine Department at Caritas. The program was inaugurated by Sri R. Sreekumar, Superintendent of Police, Kottayam Crime Branch. RRev. Fr. Joice Nandikunnel, Joint Director (Operations), Caritas Hospital, presided over the event.

Rev. Dr. Binu Kunnath, Director & CEO of Caritas Hospital; Dr. Boby N. Abraham, Medical Director; Sri Aneesh V. Kora, DYSP, Kottayam Crime Branch; and Dr. Jacob Thomas, President of Kottayam Lions Club, extended their felicitations.

The training sessions were led by Dr. Vivek R (Emergency Medicine), Dr. Nikhil (Forensic Medicine), and Dr. Chikku (Psychiatry).

The vote of thanks was delivered by Sri Suresh Kumar S, Administrative Officer of Caritas Hospital.
