The Critical Care CME 2024, hosted by Caritas Hospital & Institute of Health Sciences, Kottayam, was a day filled with learning, hands-on training, and collaboration. The sessions featured insights from renowned speakers like Dr. Vaishnavi R., who spoke on sepsis management, and Dr. Anju Merry Devasia, who discussed oxygen delivery devices and NIV. Dr. Anuraj V. T. covered airway management, while Dr. Anuradha Ramachandran shared insights on radiology in emergencies. Other impactful sessions included snake bite management by Dr. Amrutha Liz Paul, fluid therapy basics by Dr. Jacob George Pulinilkunnathil, and safe patient transport by Dr. Ratheesh.

The day began with an inspiring inauguration ceremony led by Rev. Dr. Binu Kunnath, Director and CEO of Caritas Hospital, and Dr. P. N. Vidyadharan, Deputy DMO, Kottayam. Participants gained practical experience at workstations led by experts like Dr. Anju Merry Devasia (intubation), Dr. Ratheesh (ventilation modes), Dr. Jacob George Pulinilkunnathil (BLUE protocol for breathlessness), Dr. Vaishnavi R. (ABG analysis), and Dr. Vishnu S. (ECG interpretation). The workshops were supported by Dr. Rahul Baby Joseph, Dr. Josekutty, and Dr. Mathew Antony, ensuring a rich and interactive learning environment.
