The 'CRIT-ID 2026' (An Infectious Disease Primer for the Intensivist) Conclave, organized by the Department of Critical Care at Caritas Hospital, was successfully concluded. The three-day event was held from May 22 to 24, 2026, at the Diamond Jubilee Conference Hall, Caritas Hospital.
A series of academic sessions led by some of India’s leading Infectious Disease specialists were conducted during the conclave. The discussions focused on practical approaches and emerging treatment strategies to address the complex challenges encountered in critical care medicine.
Doctors, researchers, and medical students from hospitals and medical institutions across the country participated in the event. The extensive national participation and vibrant academic discussions contributed to the program’s remarkable success.
The event was chaired by Rev. Fr. Joice Nandikunnel, Joint Director (Operations), Caritas Hospital. Dr. Bobbie N. Abraham, Medical Director, served as the Patron. Dr. Jacob George Pulinilkunnathil, Senior Consultant, Head of the Critical Care Department, and Medical Superintendent, served as the Organizing Secretary. The organizing committee, including Dr. Christy Varghese John and Dr. Amrutha Thomas, played a key role in coordinating the conclave.
