In connection with World Stroke Day, a quiz competition jointly organized by Caritas Hospital and Caritas College of Nursing on November 15 was successfully concluded.

The competition, held at the Diamond Jubilee Hall of Caritas Hospital, Kottayam, saw the participation of over 150 students from around 70 colleges across Kerala. The University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram, won the first prize of ₹10,000 along with certificates, while St. Mary’s College, Sultan Bathery, and MG University, Kottayam secured the second and third positions respectively. Rev. Dr. Binu Kunnath, Director and CEO of Caritas Hospital, felicitated the winners by presenting the prizes.

The Programme, aimed at raising awareness on stroke care, symptom recognition, and preventive measures, was led by renowned quiz mentor Mr. Siddharth R. Vailoppilly. Rev. Fr. Jinu Kavil, Joint Director, Administration, delivered the welcome address. Rev. Fr. Stephen Thevarparambil, Joint Director, Services, Prof. Sr. Lizzy John, Vice Principal of Caritas College of Nursing, and consultants from Caritas Neurosciences were also present at the event.
