Caritas Hospital has been awarded the prestigious accolade for Best Environmental Activities by the Kerala State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) for the year 2024. The event, which took place as part of World Environment Day celebrations, was formally inaugurated by Chief Minister Shri Pinarayi Vijayan. Among the dignitaries present were Shri M.B. Rajesh MLA, Shri M. Vincent MLA, Shri Kadakampally Surendran MLA, and Shri V.K. Prashanth MLA.

The awards, a government tradition since 1989, recognize outstanding pollution control management practices across various sectors. Caritas Hospital's notable achievements in pollution control and environmental conservation made it the standout winner. Over the past nine years, Caritas has consistently won the awards, demonstrating a commitment to environmental stewardship.

Dr. Fr. Binu Kunnathu, Director of Caritas Hospital, expressed gratitude for the recognition and emphasized the hospital's dedication to integrating nature into its operations. He stressed the importance of this achievement as a testament to their efforts and pledged to continue their environmental initiatives.

Moreover, during the event, the official publication of environmental news was done by the Trivandrum Corporation Mayor Smt. Arya Rajendran. The Integrated Web Portal of the Board, was launched by Dr. V. Venugopal IAS, Chief Secretary. Smt. Sharada G. Muralidharan, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary for Local Self-Government and Resources and Additional Chief Secretary for Water-Air Quality, officated the Diary Launch.
