The largest chemotherapy unit in Kerala’s private sector has been inaugurated at Caritas Hospital, Kottayam. The 52-bedded unit, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, has been dedicated to the healthcare community for advanced cancer care.
The inauguration ceremony of the newly established Chemotherapy Unit was successfully held on Thursday, November 20, at 10:00 AM. The event was inaugurated by H.G. Mar Mathew Moolakkatt, Metropolitan Archbishop of Kottayam & Patron, Caritas Hospital Trust, by cutting the ribbon. H.E. Mar Joseph Pandarasseril, Auxiliary Bishop of Kottayam & Chairman, Caritas Hospital Trust, led the blessing ceremony.
To ensure the highest quality care for patients, several advanced facilities have been set up within the unit. A dedicated Pediatric Zone, a dedicated Geriatric-friendly Chemo Zone, a Chemo Lounge, and a Chemo Suite are among the major highlights. Rev. Dr. Binu Kunnath (Director & CEO, Caritas Hospital), other Joint Directors, Dr. Bobbie N. Abraham (Medical Director), Dr. Ajith Venugopalan (Chief Operations Officer & Senior Consultant – EM & TC), Doctors from the Cancer Institute, and other delegates attended the ceremony.
