As part of the 140th anniversary celebrations of Deepika newspaper, Caritas Hospital, Kottayam has been honored with the Rashtra Deepika Excellence Award 2026.

The award recognizes Caritas Hospital's outstanding contributions to the healthcare sector and its relentless efforts to make advanced, innovative medical treatments accessible to the common people at affordable costs.

The award was presented at a ceremony held at Mammen Mappila Hall, in the presence of the Governor of Kerala, Shri Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, Leader of the Opposition in Kerala, Shri V. D. Satheesan, and other distinguished dignitaries. On behalf of Caritas Hospital, Rev. Dr. Binu Kunnath (Director & CEO) received the award from the Vice President of India, Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan.
