The Caritas EUS Hands-On Workshop, held on July 5, 2025, at Caritas Hospital, Kottayam, was a day filled with learning, collaboration, and hands-on experience in the evolving field of endoscopic ultrasound. The workshop began at 9:30 AM with a warm inauguration led by Rev. Dr. Binu Kunnath, Director & CEO of Caritas Hospital & Institute of Health Sciences. Organized by the Department of Gastro Science, the event brought together passionate professionals in gastroenterology to share knowledge and enhance practical skills. The day included a range of engaging sessions such as “Linear EUS of Mediastinum” by Dr. Deepak Madhu, “Linear EUS – Pancreatobiliary” by Dr. Madhu Sasidharan from KIMS Hospital, Trivandrum, and “EUS-Guided Tissue Acquisition – Tips & Tricks” by Dr. Tom Kurien, Senior Consultant at Caritas. Participants also got to experience interactive discussions, live case demonstrations, and a hands-on model session, along with refreshment and lunch breaks that allowed time for informal exchanges. The program was led by course directors Dr. Tom Kurien, Dr. Jino Thomas, and Dr. Deepak Madhu, making the workshop both practical and memorable for everyone involved.
