The Conference on Antimicrobial Resistance Awareness 2025 (C-AMRA), organized by Caritas Hospital & Institute of Health Sciences to create awareness against antimicrobial resistance and to formulate preventive strategies, successfully concluded on November 30. Around 114 delegates from various healthcare sectors participated in this one-day conference.

The event held at Caritas Hospital was inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Joice Nandikunnel, Joint Director – Operations. Dr. Bobbie N. Abraham (Medical Director), Dr. Presoon Kuruvilla (Medical Superintendent & Hospital Infection Prevention and Control Officer), and Dr. Sajan Jose (Principal, Caritas College of Pharmacy) were present at the inaugural ceremony.

The conference was led by Dr. Lakshmi Natarajan(Consultant – Microbiology), who served as the Organizing Secretary, along with other doctors from the Microbiology Department and members of the organizing committee.

Various sessions of the conference featured expert talks by Dr. Presoon Kuruvilla, Dr. Saritha N., Dr. Neetha T. R., Dr. Scaria Thomas P., Dr. Krishnakumar S., Dr. Arun Kaushik, and Dr. Linda Maria Jose.
