Dr Rajesh M Ramankutty is one of the most acknowledged Cardio Thoracic Surgeon in Kerala, India with more than 20 years of experience in Cardiothoracic Heart Transplant & Minimal Access Cardiac Surgeries. Dr Rajesh pioneered many cardiac interventions in Kerala including ECMO, Transplants and minimal access cardiac surgeries. He has performed more than 5000 open heart surgeries and more than 1000 minimal access procedures.
Dr Rajesh had given significant contribution to Caritas Heart Institute, acting as a team leader to establish the First Hybrid Cath Lab and Operating room in South India at Caritas Hospital. Through Caritas, he pioneered many cardiac interventions in Kerala including ECMO. He owns more than 5000 plus Cardiac Surgeries by which 1000 plus is Minimal Invasive (Key-Hole) heart surgeries.
Dr Rajesh is currently the Chief Cardiothoracic Heart Transplant & Minimal Access (Key Hole) Cardiac Surgeon at Caritas Hospital.

Achievements and expertise
Pioneered the Minimal Access (key hole) Heart Surgery program in the state of Kerala with Caritas Heart Institute being the only hospital in the state doing key hole bypass surgery and has crossed over 1000 plus cases. Dr Rajesh has Pioneered in the state of Kerala the technology of temporary artificial heart and lung support (ECMO) which could save many precious lives and lead Caritas Heart Institute to be the apex center for ECMO in Kerala Awarded, Dr. Blackstone Annual Research Team Award from Cleveland Clinic USA Received, Dr Charles H.
