Caritas K.M.M. Hospital originated from a charitable general clinic that was started in 1985 and owned by Puthenangady Kurisupally of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church. An eye clinic was also later added as a service under this charitable general clinic. Soon, the authority shifted the clinic to a new premise in 1995. In 2017 Kurisupally Medical Mission was formed to manage the clinic. Caritas Hospital & Institute of Health Sciences took over the management of the charitable clinic in April 2021 that continued operating under the banner of Caritas K.M.M. Hospital.
