Kottayam, Kerala: The Kerala Pharmaceutical Congress (KPC) 2025 came to a successful close after two days of engaging discussions on how artificial intelligence (AI) is shaping the future of pharmacy. Held at Caritas College of Pharmacy, the event gathered experts, industry leaders, and students to explore the latest advancements in pharmaceutical education and research.

The congress was officially inaugurated by Mr. Ajit Singh, Chairman of ACG Worldwide. Delivering the keynote address, Prof. Dr. B. Suresh emphasized the transformative role of artificial intelligence (AI) and augmented reality (AR) in pharmacy education, underscoring their potential to enhance interactivity and bridge the gap between academia and industry. Meanwhile, Mar Mathew Moolakkattu, Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Kottayam, addressed the gathering, shedding light on the growing influence of AI in the field of medicine.

Various scientific sessions were held, covering topics like AI-driven pharmaceutical research, automation in drug development, and the future of clinical pharmacy. Experts such as Dr. Sabu Thomas and Dr. Jijo P Ulahannan shared insights on using AI in education, while Dr. Priyank Tripathi and Mr. Indu Shankar spoke about how professionals can adapt and succeed in an AI-driven world.

The event concluded with a valedictory session featuring speakers like Dr. Cinu Thomas A, Rev. Dr. Binu Kunnath( Director & CEO of Caritas hospital) and Prof. Dr. C. P. Vijayan. They reflected on the key learnings from the congress and discussed future opportunities in pharmacy. Dr. Kala D led an award ceremony recognizing outstanding contributions in pharmaceutical research and innovation.
