About
Dr. Shyam completed his MBBS from Govt. Medical College, Trivandrum, MS in General Surgery from Moti Lal Nehru Medical College, Allahabad University and MCh (Neurosurgery) from Government Medical College, Kottayam. Dr. Shyam brings with him a vast experience of 26 years in Neurosurgery from premier institutions of India.
Dr. Shyam joined as Senior Consultant - Neurosurgery, and is skilled in the management of Craniotomy/Laminectomy, Trauma Surgery EDH/SDH/Skull Fracture, Spine Fracture stabilization, VP Shunt/Trigeminal Neuralgia/Colloid Cyst, Brain Tumor/Spinal cord Tumor/ Meningioma/Clioma/Astrocytoma/ Ependymoma/Epidermoid/Neurofibroma Medulloblastoma/Hemangioblastoma, Aneurysm Clipping, Endoscopic Third Ventriculostomy, Endoscopic Skull base approaches, Endonasal Endoscopic Pituitary Tumor removal, Carpal Tunnel release/Temporal Artery Biopsy/ Nerve Biopsy etc. He has undergone specialized training in transforaminal and endoscopic Discectomy as well as scoliosis correction. He has a series of patients treated successfully by transforaminal route.
